Doratex started its production in 1965 in a small homestead, where two craftsmen created their first artworks. In 1972, after moving close to Florence, Doratex had already become a larger and consolidated firm, though still using manufacturing techniques which are typical of handicraft. From 2011, with the passing of the two founders, their sons continued the activity with passion, and still today, Doratex employs the same methods in decoration, and in those ageing processes which give their picture frames and art objects a charming feel. Though looking at the past in relation to production techniques, Doratex carries out research for its creations to always be up to date. The frames and art objects created by Doratex, with the care and attention that have always characterized them, furnish houses over the world with taste and style. Thus, Doratex is able to face our times with self-confidence on account of those very skills which have made it a leader in its field for over fifty years.
