After obtaining a Master Degree in Art Textiles from the Florence Art Academy, Jules Vissers decided to found Taftique, a textile studio in the centre of Florence. Here she creates textile contemporary objects with and a playful and colourful design. Many of her artworks are multifunctional, they can either go on the wall or for example be a centrepiece for a table. The main techniques used are tufting, crochet, punch needle and embroidery. The artworks are distinguished by their particular texture due to their three-dimensionality and the combination of different yarns. The designs are inspired by the history of fabrics and by the art and the nature surrounding Florence. Each artwork is unique and numbered, and can be customized in colours and size.
